WEDDINGS! Winter at the Naval Academy

My last wedding of the season was at the United States Naval Academy Chapel and Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland.  Ann and Sanjay's winter wedding was incredibly beautiful and the sun came out just in time for portraits.  I couldn't have been happier with how smoothly this day went and how many incredible images we captured.

It was like a Christmas Wonderland at Hidden Waters!  I can't begin to describe the amount of candy and sweets spilling over on the dessert table or the delicious aroma of the pork tenderloin as it wafted by on a tray.  I didn't know where to begin photographing because of the sensory overload.  It was definitely a nice start to the holiday season.

EDUCATION! Post Production: What happens after the shutter snaps

Being a good photographer isn't just about taking a great photo.  Sure you have to know how to use your equipment, be mindful of lighting and composition, not to mention interacting with your subject to tease out those little moments that make an image shine, but that's only half the process.  There are a lot of behind the scenes actions that take place after the shoot to make the images look truly stunning. From editing to Photoshop and everything in between, I spend most of my time as a photographer looking at each and every image to make sure it looks great.  Here are some samples of my post production and why you need to make sure your photographer has got the skills.

My weekly women's business support group Unlimited Potential! has recently been working on ways to market ourselves and educate others through social media and speaking engagements.  Almost everyone in the group needed a new head shot for their speaker sheet and online profiles so we took one of our meetings and turned it into a photo shoot.  Here are some the wonderful women of UP!
